My best friend has gone through some major life changes over the past year and was ready for a home revamp. Having recently gone through a divorce, landing a new job and traveling tons for work, she was tired of living in the past and was ready for a fresh start. My friend is one of the most stylish, independent ladies I know and has always taken so much pride in her home. To see her living out of boxes over the past year has been hard to watch. The least I could do was help her get her feet back on the ground as she set out to find a new home and reclaim her old neighborhood. It was time to get her place together - and decorate it the way SHE wanted.
So in 48 hours we hit thrift shops, estate sales, and flea markets and scored some amazing pieces. Working with only two pieces of furniture that she got from HIM, we had a completely blank canvas to work with. And boy was it fun!
Leah Duncan print //Mirror from Moorea Seal // All other pieces are vintage
Be Brave Print from Noun // Vintage Spools of Thread
Vintage Whippet Brass Cane// Vintage Chinoiserie Table Lamp //Vintage Ice Bucket
Every girl needs a bar cart. We picked up this beauty and immediately got to stylin' and celebrating with some vodka watermelon + mint + ginger cocktails. Yum!
All pieces are vintage except for the Jackalope jewelry holder from Imm Living.
Paper Straws from Target
We picked up these vintage cane chairs at the last minute and luckily they fit in the back of her car. They could not be passed up. I'm still looking for a side table to compliment these beauties but for now, they can sit here looking pretty.
Vintage Pair of Cane Chairs
Pillows are from various sources, mixed in vintage ceramics and milk glass
Once her grey couch arrives (it didn't get delivered in time), we plan to add some texture with Mongolian sheepskin and graphic print pillows to pull in the slate blue grey of the chinoiserie lamps. We may swap out the rug with the West Elm Souk but for now, this pad is ready for it's first big party!
