Treasure Hunting with AnthologyHouse

Alyse Hufford

One of the most frequently asked questions we get from our followers is how do we make time to shop?  Well now that the kids are back in school and we are somewhat settled into a routine, we are scheduling in some amazing shopping trips and it's sooooo much fun!  Hunting and digging for those one of a kind finds that we believe sets our shop apart from the others is what we do best.  We are in our element and love the hunt. We recently had the opportunity to venture out to the Eastside (what us locals refer to as Bellevue/Mercer Island/Redmond) and a few consignment shops near Sodo.  Below are a few of our favorite pics from our latest shopping adventure.

Spotlight on the Portland Flea

Alyse Hufford

We recently had the opportunity to shop our sister city, Portland, OR and stumbled upon the Portland Flea.  It's a street market with vendors featuring vintage housewares, clothing, and crafts.  Some other vendors also set up vintage furnishings, lighting, and other wares in an industrial event space on SE Pine.  We were amazed with some of the finds.  Here's a sneak peek at a couple of the items we picked up : Vintage Brass Ram Bookends  and a Vintage Cloisonné Cherry Blossom Vase. portland flea layout

The Portland Flea is a vintage collector's dream.  With so much eye candy and the added bonus of coffee from the Water Avenue Coffee truck, you could easily spend half a day here perusing all the vintage treasures.

With Summer upon us, the opportunity for shopping more garage sales and flea markets beckons.  Do you have a favorite flea market in your hood?  Where do you like to shop for vintage treasures?
